Fascial Manipulation Level I and Level II : 12 day Diploma course
This
course is an intensive course where theory lessons, demonstrations, and
practice between participants alternate throughout the day. It is
intended for physiotherapists, osteopaths, medical doctors and
chiropractors.
Other registered health practitioners with at least 3
years of experience and a good working knowledge of musculoskeletal
anatomy and physiology and notions of postural analysis maybe accepted.
Participants
will learn to evaluate musculoskeletal dysfunctions, with specific
reference to the human fascial system, and to apply the Fascial
Manipulation technique as taught by Luigi Stecco.
Lessons include
anatomy and physiology of the fascial system, explanation of the
biomechanical model used in application of this technique and the
anatomical localisation of key fascial points.
The evaluation of
musculoskeletal dysfunctions from anamnesis to hypothesis to
verification and treatment is emphasized, together with the methodology
of treatment and treatment strategies.
The 12-day Diploma course consists in 2 Levels:
Level I: 6 days (48 hours)
Level II: 6 days (48 hours)
The
two Levels are interrelated. While a certificate is given on completion
of each Level, for a complete qualification in Fascial Manipulation
completion of Level II is required. Completion of Level II is also
obligatory prior to enrolling in Level III (Fascial Manipulation for
Internal Dysfunctions).
The Level I & II are scheduled some time apart (approximately 4 months) to allow for student practice and case report work.
All FM Diploma courses are the same length therefore students can attend Level I in one location and Level II in another.
